Punta Mujeres is a small village (non-traditional tourist) located on the coast north of Lanzarote. It is very picturesque. Famous among the locals for its natural pools that are sheltered from the open sea, stretching over 2 km from the coast right in front of this property. The only traces of artificial development here are the discrete access steps and the handrails that blend into the volcanic rock, ideal for those who prefer to walk gently, instead of jumping into crystal clear pools. As if the pools were not enough to make it one of the most beautiful and unspoilt coastal villages, nature has then added small sheltered sandy coves, gently caressed by turquoise waters.
Among all the pools, one of the most popular is located about 100 m from your accommodation, popular with local children, as well as adults, who relax in La Piscina, a local tapas bar overlooking the pool.
Other must-see attractions nearby are the Cactus Garden, Mirador del Rio, Haría and the Valley of the Thousand Palms. Haría offers a local craft market on Saturday morning, well worth a visit, even if you come to sit and have a coffee and watch the hustle and bustle of the locals on this picturesque square. César Manrique, the famous artist and architect, whose vision shaped much of Lanzarote, had his home and studio in Haría, which is now a museum dedicated to his life, work and heritage. Casa-Museo César Manrique is well worth a visit.
